Timothy L. Purmort, CIC  - Agency Manager

Tim is a 1968 graduate of Van Wert High School and a 1972 graduate of Trine University with a BS in Business Management.  He started with the agency on September 4, 1972 and received his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1984.  On January 1, 1991, Tim became the Agency Manager.  Tim belongs to many local civic, social and fraternal organizations.  He is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert.  He and his wife, Lynda, have three grown children and six grandchildren.  He is planning to retire someday!

Leah Purmort-Treece - Administrative Assistant

Leah, Tim's middle daughter, joined the agency in February 2000.  She is a 1993 graduate of Van Wert High School and a 1997 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Insurance & Risk Management.  Upon graduation, she moved to the Boston area, taking a job with Central Insurance Companies Northeast Regional Office.  After three years in Personal Lines Underwriting, she moved back to Van Wert and joined her father at the agency.  Leah enjoys photography, writing, cooking and entertaining.  She is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert and is also a member of the Van Wert Service Club.  She and her husband, Troy, have two children, Owen and Olivia.

Michele Purmort-Mooney - Personal Lines Manager

Michele, Tim's oldest daughter joined the agency in August 2001.  She is a 1990 graduate of Van Wert High School and attended the University of Cincinnati.  Michele started her insurance career working for an agency in Westerville, Ohio for three years and then moved on to work for Westfield Services for four years.  In 2001 Michele moved back to Van Wert when a job opening became available at the agency.  Michele isinvolved with the YWCA, member of Van Wert Optimist Club, and is a member of First Presbyterian Church.  She enjoys spending time with her husband Mike and two children Ethan and Ellie.  

Dianne Byrne - Senior Personal Lines Protection Agent

Purmort Brothers Insurance Agency is lucky to have this lady!  She has been in the insurance business since 1974 and started at this agency in May of 1990.  Our customers love her wit, knowledge, and friendship she's provided them over the years.  Dianne spends countless hours volunteering for Relay for Life and devoting much of her spare time to Lincolnview athetic programs.  Her and her husband Denny have two grown children and five granddaughters.  When she's not attending one of her grandkid's sporting events, she enjoys reading, spending time at the lake, gambling and bingo. 

Leigh Ann Taylor - Personal Lines Protection Agent

Leigh Ann has been working in the insurance business since 2002.  She holds a Property & Casualty License as well has her Life & Health license.  She joined Purmort Brothers Insurance Agency in 2008 when the aquired the Bruce Jones Agency in Celina, Ohio.  She resides in Celina with her husband Brian and two children Alexandra and Andrew.  In her free time she enjoys shopping, gambling and spending time with her family.

David L. Phlipot - Commercial Lines Manager/Producer

David L. Phlipot CPCU, CIC, AU joined Purmort Brothers Insurance Agency in 1990 as the Agency's Commercial Lines Manager.  Dave began his career with the Central Insurance Companies in 1976 after he graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing.  He earned his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1983, Associate in Underwriting in 1985 and his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters designation in 1992.  Dave and his wife, Cathy, have three children Kalli, John and Hannah.  He is active in the community serving on the YMCA Board of Directors, member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge, Van Wert Rotary, Willow Bend Golf Club, Van Wert High School Booster Club and the Ball State Letterman's Club.

Jody Bigham - Commercial Lines Protection Agent

Jody is a 1984 Graduate of Parkway High School.  She started at the agency in July of 2008 and is new to the insurance agency.  She loves miniature horses and spending time with her husband Tom and two daughers Brittney and Savannah. 

Alec Purmort - Commercial Quality Control Technician

 Alec started in the insurance industry in 2003 working for Central Insurance Companies.  In October of 2004, he joined his dad and two sisters here at Purmort Brothers.  He has a daughter, Macy and son, Lochlen.  Besides his kids, his favorite hobbies are golfing, skiing and backpacking. 

Betsy Welker - Life & Health Protection Agent

Since May 2007, Betsy has been the Life and Health Protection Agent for Purmort Brothers.  She is originally from Middle Point, Ohio and attended the University of Findlay where she was a football and basketball cheerleader for four years and earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting in 2006.  She is an active member of the Lincolnview High School Athletic Boosters, has coached High School Cheerleading for the past five years and is a member of Emmanual Lutheran Church.  Betsy also coaches gymnastics and cheerleading at All Star Gymnastics Center.  She and her husband, Logan, have one daughter and are currently expecting their second child.  In her spare time, she likes to remodel her home, go horseback riding, camping or shopping.
